‘Silent Hill: Road of Guilt’ Officially Wraps Filming; Release Date Aimed For 20th Anniversary of ‘Silent Hill 2’

Co-director Leigh Thorne dropped us a line to announce that filming for his upcoming fan short Silent Hill: Road of Guilt is “in the can” after seven months. The team’s next goal? To get the film ready for Silent Hill 2‘s 20th anniversary in September.

Leigh and company hope to have the film cut by that time in order present the short as a “special gift” to the fans who have been patiently waiting (and then some) for Konami to finally revisit the series after P.T. way back in 2015.

“We are working closely together to bring the best cut for this short film,” says Leigh. “After reviewing all the different takes, etc., we do believe we have a product in the works that would be a great contender in future ‘Fan Film Festivals’, so watch this space.”

The film will make its premiere on YouTube on Dax79’s channel, with co-directors Leigh Thorne and Ruben Abreu sticking around to field any questions from fans. No release date has officially been announced, but again, Thorne is aiming for September.

Adapted from pieces of a full screenplay called Silent Hill: Waking Hours, Road of Guilt sees James Sunderland (played by Matt Perkins) recovering an old set of therapy sessions between himself and Dr. Finch. James then heads to a ley line hotspot where a rift has potentially opened between our realm and the realm of Silent Hill in order to take care of some “unfinished business.”
