What Did Lucy Do to Lydia in Tell Me Lies Season 2?

Tell Me Lies continues to keep viewers hooked with its second installment. The drama-filled series wastes no time drawing viewers in with a heated confrontation between former best friends Lydia and Lucy. But what exactly caused the rift? As the show unfolds, viewers are left eager to uncover the truth behind their fractured friendship.

Here is everything you need to know about the twists in the drama series.

Here’s what Lucy did to Lydia in Tell Me Lies Season 2

Lucy and Lydia’s argument in Tell Me Lies Season 2 hinted at a betrayal from Lucy, with Lydia refusing to forgive her.

In the very first episode, Lydia confronts Lucy at Bree and Evan’s wedding in 2015. During the confrontation, Lydia angrily tells Lucy she’ll never forgive her. This hint that something major happened between them in the past. Fans are left speculating the cause such a dramatic fallout.

Some believe the split between the two could be tied to Lydia’s brother, Chris, who joins Lucy’s college. Further, a party takes place where Chris comes closer to their friend Pippa who is getting over her heartbreak from Wringley. While their interaction suggests a blossoming love story, things will go upside down in the next episode. Diana finds Pippa lying drugged, unconscious and undressed next to Chris. Lucy decides to stand by Pippa, believing Chris might be guilty of assault.

On the other hand, Lydia might have felt betrayed and refused to hear Lucy and Pippa’s side of the story. It is even possible that Chris might come out innocent pushing Lucy to guilt for picking the wrong side. Further, Lydia would have decided to punish Lucy by getting engaged with the latter’s ex-boyfriend, Stephen.

As we are aware, Tell Me Lies is based on a novel written by Carola Lovering. However, the showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer took her creative liberty to make major changes in the series adaption. In her interview with ScreenRant, the showrunner revealed that the bffs friendship will be explored in part 2.

To delve deep into Lucy and Lydia’s fallout, catch all the episodes of Tell Me Lies Season 2 on Hulu.
