Keanu Reeves’ stolen watches have been found in Chile after allegedly being taken from his Los Angeles home in late 2023.
According to a CNN report, police in Chile located three watches belonging to Reeves, 60 — including a $9,000 Rolex Submariner. The recovery took place on Saturday, December 28, in Santiago during a police operation linked to a series of local robberies.
The Rolex is engraved with Reeves’ first name and the words, “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five.” In 2021, Reeves reportedly gifted the watch to the stuntmen he worked with on John Wick: Chapter 4. The Rolex is priced at over $9,000, per the website.
Chilean authorities reportedly found jewelry and at least one of the “valuable” watches “belonging to a famous actor who was [the] victim of a robbery in Los Angeles in December 2023.”
Per CNN, local authorities were working with U.S. officials on the case and this recovery “helped them link the watch to the 2023 burglary at the actor’s home.” A 21-year-old man has reportedly been arrested.
Us Weekly reached out to Reeves’ rep for comment.
In December 2023, Los Angeles police received an anonymous call about a possible trespasser on Reeves’ property, TMZ reported. After the cops arrived to conduct a search, they did not locate anyone.
Authorities returned the following day due to an alarm going off on the property. Cops allegedly saw security footage of multiple men in ski masks smashing a window and entering Reeves’ home.
TMZ reported that the men walked away from the house with one firearm before fleeing the scene. Reeves was not at his house when the burglary occurred.
This is not the first time Reeves’ home has reportedly been robbed. In 2014, Us confirmed that Reeves found an unknown woman in his house after waking up at 5 a.m. and hearing a sound coming from his library.
The intruder, who was sitting in his chair, said she was there to meet him. Reeves attempted to have a calm conversation with her before alerting authorities. Police ultimately detained the woman and determined she should be placed in an involuntary psychiatric hold. (Reeves reportedly forgot to set his alarm, which allowed the woman to enter his property.)
Days later, a second woman walked into Reeves’ home through an unlocked door after a cleaning crew forgot to close the front gate. The woman undressed, jumped into Reeves’ shower and went skinny dipping in his pool. Reeves was not home at the time.
After the cleaning crew noticed the woman, they alerted Reeves and contacted 911. Authorities arrived on the scene and the woman was taken in for a mental evaluation.
