Sally Struthers The Golden Girls Star

Sally Anne Struthers 77, was born on July 28, 1947. She was born in Portland, Oregon, and is an American actress and activist. She won two Emmy Awards for her role as Gloria Stivic in All in the Family. Sally also played Babette on Gilmore Girls, where she met Betty White for the first time. Betty was 99 years old when she passed away. She was born on January 17, 1922, and passed on December 31, 2021. White is from Oak Park, Illinois, and is an American actress and comedian. Betty was on Golden Girls from 1985 to 1992, she played the role of Rose Nylund. They also had another friend named Bea Arthur, Bea was 86 years old when she passed, born on May 13, 1922, in New York City. Betty White’s Fat-Shaming Comment

While Sally was at White’s house working on a pilot for a new game show, Betty requested a snack from her housekeeper. The housekeeper then brought a plate of cookies to the group, once Sally reached for a cookie Betty made a comment saying:

“Oh, I wouldn’t do that if I were you dear, you don’t need a cookie.”

Struthers was embarrassed that Betty had just said that aloud in front of everyone. She said all she could think of was “Gosh that’s not nice.” Sally felt like coming out with this now that White had passed because she knew how much all of Betty’s fans loved her and thought she was a very sweet and loving lady. It was finally her time to talk about what she had encountered with Betty. Although Struthers felt uncomfortable with White she had a friend she could talk to but says they are worse than a drunken sailor. Bea Arthur was known for all the laughs and putting her own twist in her lines for the show. Sally talks about how Bea would run into her at the grocery store and they would end up laughing down every aisle.
