Tame Impala Wins First Grammy Award in 2025

As Tame Impala, Kevin Parker has collaborated with superstars, headlined festivals all over the world, and created his own instrument, and now, he’s won his first ever Grammy Award.

At the Premiere Ceremony for the 67th Grammy Awards this evening, Tame Impala and Justice won the award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for their collaborative song “Neverender,” which appeared on Justice’s 2024 album Hyperdrama. Neither Parker nor the two members of Justice (Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay) were present at the ceremony, so host Justin Tranter accepted the award on their behalf.

The nomination was Tame Impala’s fifth overall; they previously were nominated for Best Alternative Music Album for 2012’s Lonerism, 2015’s Currents, and 2020’s The Slow Rush. Tame Impala were also nominated for Best Rock Song at the 2021 ceremony for The Slow Rush cut “Lost in Yesterday.”

Justice, meanwhile, have now scored their third Grammy win out of seven total nominations; they previously won for Best Remixed Recording for their remix of “Electric Feel” by MGMT in 2009 as well as Best Dance/Electronic Album for their 2018 album Woman Worldwide.

Read why we selected “Neverender” as one of the best songs of 2024. You can find our full coverage of the 2025 Grammy Awards here.
