‘Zombie Army VR’ Shuffles to a May 22 Release; Pre-Orders Open Now [Trailer]

Rebellion will have your zombie fix later this spring, as they’ve announced that Zombie Army VR will launch on May 22 for PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2 and above, and selective PC headsets via Steam. Pre-orders are now open, with an early bird discount from now until launch.

Set before the events of Zombie Army 4, Zombie Army VR sees you return to the field as one of the Deadhunters, an elite squad that is hunting down zombie war criminals. You will fight your way through undead hordes near the bombed-out city of Nuremberg and help Hermann Wolff, the Deadhunter’s legendary leader, find his scattered family and fight to free Europe from the zombie apocalypse.

With VR comes a new level of immersion to the action of the Zombie Army series. You’re able to use both hands to aim down the sights of your rifle and line up that perfect shot at range. When it’s time to get up close, you can use each hand independently to dual-wield pistols and submachine guns. You’ll also need to master reloading as the undead masses bear down on you from all sides.

To help send the undead scourge back into the abyss, you (or if you like, join a friend online for 2 player co-op) will have access to an arsenal of authentic World War II weaponry including sniper rifles, submachine guns, pistols, and more. You will also need to earn XP to level up your Deadhunter as you fight across zombie-infested 1940s Europe, and use Weapon Upgrade kits to modify the damage, accuracy, and ammo capacity of your weapons.
