Carrie Underwood ‘Miserable,’ Job At Stake

American Idol is going strong this season with judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. Things look like they are going great with Carrie, but a source is saying that she isn’t happy on the show. Could Carrie be leaving the show after one season?

Source Shares Why Carrie Underwood Is Unhappy

A source is revealing that Carrie isn’t very happy, but the show isn’t the whole reason. Carrie is spending a lot of time in LA instead of at home in Nashville. This puts her away from her kids and husband often, and it sounds like she isn’t thrilled about that. You can totally understand why Carrie would want to be at home. She is constantly posting on her Instagram about gardening and doing things outside. It seems like she has a very quiet life in Nashville.

Will Carrie Be Back Next Season On American Idol?

It sounds like there is a chance that Carrie won’t be back next season, but nothing is confirmed at this time. Within the next month or so, they should have answers about who will be the judges for 2026. American Idol does change judges pretty often, so it wouldn’t be surprising at all if Carrie Underwood just did one season and was done with the show.

Here is what the source shared:

“Her Idol future is much more uncertain now than it was and I think that feeling is mutual. She seems miserable being away from her family and in LA this much. I don’t think she wants to have to answer to TV networks and play the ‘Hollywood’ game so it wouldn’t be a surprise if she’s one and done.”

They did have an Easter show this year that was three hours long. This was an entirely religious episode that Carrie really pushed for and wanted them to have. It sounds like they did this to make her happy. That probably did make Carrie feel welcome on the show, but it might not be enough for her to stick around. Family is really important to her and she may just decided that being at home is more important than this job.

Do you think that Carrie Underwood should stick around on American Idol?  Do you feel like she will leave the show? Sound off in the comments below and don’t miss new episodes of American Idol on Sunday and Monday nights on ABC.
