    Every Original TV Show Coming to Netflix in May 2025

    With shows like Squid Games and Stranger Things under its belt, it’s no wonder why Netflix continues to be one of the top spots for original series. Next month, the platform has a ton of new and returning series scheduled to arrive, which subscribers will undoubtedly want to binge the moment they’re available.

    From comedies to romances, and everything in between, there will be a wide array of options for viewers to choose from. With big names like Tina Fey, Steve Carell, and Julianne Moore starring in the platform’s various shows next month, audiences have a lot to look forward to. As always, no matter what viewers are in the mood to watch, Netflix has something for them.

    ‘The Four Seasons’ (Limited Series)

    Adapted from the 1981 film of the same name, The Four Seasons is a comedy series that follows three couples who have known each other for over 30 years. During what was meant to be a relaxing weekend, the group learns that one couple is about to split up, which completely shocks the others.

    Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday this Fall, and you can get a first look at the new season now.

    Subsequently, over the course of one year, viewers follow the group of friends as they embark on four vacations amidst the new dynamics. As a result, old issues once again rise to the surface while new ones emerge to the forefront. With Tina Fey, Will Forte, Steve Carell, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Colman Domingo, and Marco Calvani in the cast, the series is a hilarious yet heartfelt love letter to lasting friendships and long marriages. The Four Seasons is streaming on May 1.

    ‘Forever’ (Season 1)

    A reimagining of Judy Blume’s 1975 novel of the same name, Forever explores the love story of two Black teens, Keisha (Lovie Simone) and Justin (Michael Cooper Jr.), who are experiencing love and intimacy for the very first time. Set in Los Angeles in 2018, the series showcases their romance and identities as they traverse the awkward yet enduring journey of being one another’s first.

    Not only will the pair have to navigate their own blossoming emotions, but they’ll be forced to reckon with the social and parental pressures that appear to be driving them apart. With their futures ahead of them and their first love directly in front of them, they’ll need to decide if what they have is really something that will last forever. Forever is streaming on May 8.

    ‘Love, Death & Robots’ (Volume 4)

    An adult animated anthology series, Love, Death & Robots finally returns with another season, and this time there will be even more amazing shorts for fans to enjoy. From dinosaur gladiators to messianic cats and string-puppet rock stars, there’s only one place that could encompass such a wide array of wildly enthralling horror, sci-fi, and humor. Presented by Tim Miller and David Fincher, the award-winning show’s fourth season will likely be just as beloved as its predecessors. Viewers better buckle up because it’s bound to be one wild ride. Love, Death & Robots is streaming on May 14.

    ‘Sirens’ (Limited Series)

    A dark comedy, Sirens follows a woman named Devon (Meghann Fahy), who has grown concerned about her sister Simone’s (Milly Alcock) creepy relationship with her new boss, enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore). Due to the seemingly cultish life of luxury Simone appears to be feeding on like a drug, Devon believes an intervention is necessary.

    However, unbeknownst to her, Michaela is quite the formidable opponent, which means Devon’s task won’t be as easily executed as she had hoped. Set over one weekend at a lavish beach estate, the series aims to explore women, power, and class in a darkly humorous and sharp manner. With Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton also part of the cast, the show is certainly one that viewers won’t want to miss. Sirens is streaming on May 22.

    The adult animated comedy, Big Mouth returns for its eighth and final season just in time for the beloved Bridgeton teens to experience a whole new set of challenges. Now in high school, Nick (Nick Kroll) and his buddies will come face to face with driving, drugs, sexual inexperience, porn, and the teenage mind. However, the most terrifying thing they’ll have to confront is the fear of their looming futures.

    Nevertheless, the teens will meet those challenges head-on thanks to their enduring friendships, as well as their ever-raunchy and hilarious hormone monsters. In fact, this season viewers will see a new creature, Compassion (Holly Hunter), which will be crucial in how the characters choose to move forward throughout the season. Their futures might be unknown, but as long as they have one another, they’ll be able to face whatever comes their way. Big Mouth is streaming on May 23.

    ‘Dept. Q’ (Season 1)

    A British crime thriller, Dept. Q follows a former highly-rated detective, Carl Morck (Matthew Goode), as he and his new team tackle various cold cases. Tasked with setting up a unit dedicated to such cases, known as Department Q, he and other misfit officers work to solve the long-forgotten cases that come across their desks. Based inside an Edinburgh basement office space, Carl works to make the brand-new unit a well-oiled machine as the department does their best to crack some of the most impossible cases. Dept. Q is streaming on May 29.
