The authorities in Arizona announced that Trigg Kiser, Emilie Kiser’s three-year-old son, was involved in a tragic incident in a backyard pool on May 12, 2025. He died on Sunday, May 18, after spending several days in a hospital. The incident took place in Chandler, a town located about 20 miles southeast of Phoenix, Arizona.

The local authorities received a call about a drowning and responded. The police officers were the first to reach the scene of the incident and discovered that Trigg was unconscious. They got him out of the pool and began CPR until the firefighters reached the spot and replaced them. Per NBC affiliate KPNX, the boy was subsequently admitted to Chandler Regional Hospital, where he was receiving treatment for six days until his passing.

Sonu Wasu, the spokesperson for the police department in Chandler, made a statement regarding the accident. She said, “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the child’s family and loved ones during this unimaginable time.”

Wasu stated that the police investigation on the matter was currently ongoing. She added, “This is still an open investigation. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will not be releasing additional details until the investigation is closed.” (via WPTV) Initially, the authorities didn’t disclose who the boy was, though they later confirmed his identity.

Born on July 14, 2021, Trigg was the oldest of the two sons of Emilie Kiser and her husband, Brady Kiser. Their youngest, Theodore, was born this March.

Since the news about Trigg’s passing has become public, messages of condolences have poured in. Many have also left sympathetic and comforting words on the Kiser family’s previous posts on various social media platforms.
