Conner Smith Kills Elderly Woman In Nashville

Country music singer Conner Smith was the driver in a crash this weekend that killed an elderly woman in Nashville. The town was packed with CMA Fest going on and a lot of people were walking through the streets. This crash occurred during that time. It is unknown if Conner was performing or just driving around town, but he did not perform at Nashville Stadium this year.

Conner Smith Kills Elderly Woman In Crash

Conner Smith was the driver of a vehicle that killed a woman this weekend. TMZ shared the details of the crash and that he was the driver. He was driving a Chevy Silverado heading north on 3rd Ave when 77-year-old Dorothy Dobbins walked out into the street. The truck ran into her. She was in a marked crosswalk going across the road when she was hit. This happened around 7:30 p.m. CST in Nashville on Sunday, June 8, 2025.

She was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center, but she didn’t make it. The reason for the crash is being reported as failure to yield to a pedestrian. There was no reason to think that Conner Smith was impaired at the time of the accident. So far, no charges have been filed against him, and it is still under investigation. It will be interesting to see how this all turns out.

    Conner’s Attorney Speaks Out

Conner Smith’s attorney has spoken out. Here is the statement they released:

“On June 8th, Mr. Smith was involved in a car accident that tragically claimed a life. His heart goes out to Ms. Dobbins’ family during this incredibly difficult time. Mr. Smith continues to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation.”

At this time, Conner Smith has not spoken out about what is going on at this time. Fans would love to hear his side of the story, but they will be waiting for him to share it if he ever does. A lot of times in this kind of situation, they will just let their attorney speak for them and stay quiet. He has tour dates as soon as June 14, 2025, so fans will have to wait to see if he cancels them or makes it to the big shows coming up.

Conner is a well-known country singer who is signed to the recording label Big Machine Records. His song “I Hate Alabama” is one that most people who use TikTok know.
