James Gunn Shot Down a “Very, Very, Very Famous” Actor For a New DCU Movie

The DC Universe already has a packed slate of upcoming movies and shows. Superman flies into theaters in under a month (July 11), Supergirl arrives less than a year later (June 25, 2026), and several other major projects are in development, including Clayface, Swamp Thing, Brave and the Bold, Dynamic Duo, The Authority, Waller, Booster Gold, the list goes on, and on — not to mention Matt Reeves’ Elseworlds The Batman franchise. But, even with all that on his plate, DC Studios co-president James Gunn is still open to developing more projects, especially when they’re pitched by insanely famous actors. There’s just one catch, though: the script has to be a “masterpiece.”

    More to come…
