Alexia Umansky Opens Up About Past Sexual Assault For 1st Time
Alexia Umansky has made many appearances on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alongside her mom since the show premiered in 2010. She also starred on Netflix’s Buying Beverly Hills, which followed her father’s real estate agency. Alexia and Mauricio Umansky are among the reality stars competing on Season 5 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky separated in 2023 after 27 years of marriage but haven’t officially divorced yet. Alexia and her dad are doing great on Special Forces so far. During one recent episode, Alexia revealed that she joined the show to prove to herself that she has “courage” after a devastating incident several years ago.
She opened up for the first time ever about a past sexual assault. “I was on a trip with some friends, and I was with people I trust. I was put to bed because I had a little too much to drink. And I woke up and I could tell something had happened,” she told her dad and her castmates.
Alexia continued, “I felt completely objectified. And I had a lot of pain and anger because of that. At the one-year mark, I decided that happiness is a choice and I was gonna choose to put it away, but it still hurts.”

She revealed that she hadn’t told anyone in her family about the assault until speaking out about it on Special Forces. Alexia received support from her dad in the moment and an outpouring of love from viewers after the show aired.
Special Forces Star Shares Emotional Message With Fans
Alexia Umansky said on Special Forces that she’s “healed” from the traumatic assault. She married the love of her life, Jake Zingerman, in September 2025. The Bravo star took to Instagram after the Special Forces episode aired to thank fans for their support.
“I want to thank each and every one of you who has reached out to me after hearing a part of my story on Special Forces this week,” she wrote. “The love and support have been overwhelming, but in the sweetest way. It means more to me than you know.”

Alexia addressed other sexual assault survivors. “To anyone who sees a little of their own story in mine, you are not alone. Life is beautiful, and there is so much more to our stories than the things that have happened to us. Sending you all so much love.”
Alexia and Mauricio Umansky are still in the competition. Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test airs Thursdays at 9 PM Eastern on Fox.
