James Kennedy clapped back at a recent rumor concerning the future of Vanderpump Rules.
Much speculation has been made about what Season 12 of the Bravo hit might look like after the cast was put “on pause” after a very bumpy Season 11.
Now, James is giving his two cents on at least one of the latest rumors.
James Kennedy Responds to Rumor About The End Of VPR
When a popular Bravo fan account posted a new claim about Season 12, James took the comments section, seemingly shooting down the news of a total reboot.
“Vanderpump Rules to allegedly end with its next season which films in October. After a final farewell, the show will go back into filming SURvers from Lisa Vanderpump‘s restaurants as a total reboot,” the post read.
“Y’all think you have it all figured out, huh,” James responded.
While there has been no confirmation that the reboot news is true, some fans in the comments would be on board with a new cast.
“Some fresh faces would be nice. I am over the 40-year-olds with drama of 22-year-olds,” wrote one fan.
“Girl, I’m over this cast. Seeing Ariana [Madix] and Katie [Maloney] thrive is the best outcome of this show as a whole. Wrap it up already,” wrote another.
The Future Of Vanderpump Rules Remains In Limbo
James’ comment comes after the See You Next Tuesday DJ said that while he hopes the show will return, he also confirmed that he had not heard from producers regarding the next season.
Famed celebrity gossip site Deux Moi is also hearing Vanderpump Rules could be getting an entire reboot.
“I heard that everyone at TomTom and SUR have had multiple interviews with producers and Bravo because they are recasting the entire show with people who actually work at Lisa’s restaurants,” a source told Deux Moi.
“Things remain ‘on pause’ as they were after the last season ended,” the source continued.
“[But] any ‘complete recasting’ would be news to the cast and not something that has been discussed.”
Bravo Put James Kennedy And The Rest Of His VPR Co-Stars ‘On Pause’
Concerns over Season 12 began in April when multiple sources revealed the show was not sticking to its normal summer filming schedule,
The break was intended to give the cast a post-Scandoval breather and let them live their own lives for a bit.
As fans will recall, most of Season 11 focused on the aftermath of Tom Sandoval’s affair with Rachael Leviss. Which “blew up” the life of his partner of ten years, Ariana Madix.
While Tom tried to get back in the good graces of his co-stars, Ariana refused to film or interact with him.
The finale even featured what appeared to be a wrap-up, with the current cast reflecting on their time on the show.
Bravo has not confirmed Vanderpump Rules has even been renewed for Season 12.
