Two of the biggest superstars in music came together last night (Oct. 18) in Sydney as Travis Scott welcomed the Weeknd for four songs during his performance at Allianz Stadium. The longtime collaborators teamed for “CIRCUS MAXIMUS,” a portion of “Pray 4 Love” (which hadn’t been played live in eight years), the tour debut of “SKELETONS” and “WAKE UP.”
“This man right here gave me my first arena tour ever,” Scott told the audience of the Weeknd. “If it wasn’t for him, I probably wouldn’t be on this stage right now.”

The two artists have released numerous songs together, and have also teamed for contributions to the Black Panther soundtrack and HBO’s Game of Thrones. In May, they performed “CIRCUS MAXIMUS” live during producer Mike Dean’s concert at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre.
The Weeknd is in Australia for shows as part of his After Hours Til Dawn trek, which visits Sydney on Oct. 22-23. His next album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, does not yet have a confirmed release date but has been preceded by the singles “Dancing in the Flames” and “Timeless.”
Meanwhile, Scott’s CIRCUS MAXIUM tour continues through Oct. 31 in Auckland, after which he and his Cactus Jack crew will take over Complexcon in Las Vegas on Nov. 17.
