After last month’s reveal, Bokeh Game Studio have dropped a second set of Rarities character reveals for Slitterhead, including their unique combat skills and a new stage preview.
As a refresher, Slitterhead’s gameplay involves you seeking out and possess allies among humans known as “Rarities,” which are humans gifted with special abilities that you can use in your quest to defeat the Slitterheads. You can possess regular humans in Slitterhead, though they are comparatively weaker. However, it is also difficult to defeat the Slitterheads with just a single Rarity, so you’ll need to possess as many humans during battle to help.
First is Doni, a high school student who is far from cheerful, but not exactly lonely either. He grew up in a relatively wealthy family and maintains a certain distance with friends and teachers. He often visits the arcade in the bustling shopping district. Doni’s unique skills include the Fatal Lance, where he forms a spear of blood that can pierce any foe; Revenge Guard, which allows you to unleash accumulated damage as a shockwave; and Curse Resist, which dispels all negative effects, and for a set amount of time negates all new negative effects.
Next is Tri, a housekeeper who came to Kowlong for work from abroad. She excels at all household chores, especially cooking. With keen intuition, she claims to have a talent for noticing subtle discrepancies in people’s behavior, allowing her to learn hidden secrets. Tri is able to use Sentry Thorns, which consumes blood to create a shrub-like object that will automatically attack nearby enemies, drawing their attention. There’s also Bloody Knuckles, which causes attacked enemies to bleed, as well as easily stun enemies. Tri can also use Crimson Chains, which binds her to an enemy, reducing their movement speed for a set time.
Lastly, there’s Yin Yue, one of the leaders of the “Echoes of Love Society”. He oversees the members in place of the “Master”, who is ill and unable to move around. He is held in high respect within the organization, while also being a master of martial arts.
Speaking of which, the Echoes of Love Society is one such stage that you’ll visit during your playthrough. The headquarters of this newly founded organization, constructed in the mountains to evade attention. Its members consist undocumented immigrants as well as financially disadvantaged individuals. They have gathered under the leadership of its “Master” to live together in a communal setting.
