Jesse Tyler Ferguson, best known for his work on Modern Family, recently shared some shocking news with fans on Instagram. The actor revealed that one of his two sons recently had to take a trip to the ER. Interestingly, one of his Modern Family co-stars ended up having a similar experience.

Ferguson is arguably best known for playing Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom Modern Family. Outside of this, he is also known for his work on Broadway. He is also known for appearing in various reality series, such as serving as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance.
The actor shares two son with husband Justin Mikita, Beckett Mercer and Sullivan ‘Sully’ Louis. Ferguson recently shared an update about his family on social media.
in the post, Ferguson revealed one of his sons, believed to be Beckett Mercer, just spent Thanksgiving in the ER. The photo showed one of his sons sleeping on top of the actor as they lied down on a hospital bed.
As Ferguson shared in the caption, “I have received a lot of parenting wisdom from [Julie Bowen] so seeing I wasn’t the only one with a kid in the ER on Thanksgiving was comforting. (He’s also fine.) Thank you to the kind folks at Lennox Health. NYC really DOES have the best healthcare.”
At this time, Ferguson did not disclose which of his sons was receiving treatment. He also did not give much details over what the son was being treated for.
As noted by People, Bowen also shared a similar post about spending Thanksgiving at the ER. As the post read, “It’s not a holiday without a trip to the ER. (He’s fine, btw) HAPPY THANKSGIVING.”
Fans Shared Their Support For The ‘Brother & Sister’ In The Comments
In the accompanying photo, one of Bowen’s sons could be seen standing outside the hospital. Bowen shares then sons with her ex-husband Scott Phillips: Oliver, John, and Gustav.
Taking to the comments, fans shared their support. A few fans also took note that Ferguson and Bowen played brother and sister on Modern Family.
As one wrote, “Omg, what’s happening? Get well soon to him. Glad to hear our favorite siblings always got each other. Also, Happy Thanksgiving, Jesse!” Another wrote, “Like brother like sister. I’m glad they’re both OK!”
In another recent post, Ferguson also revealed that he recently lost his mother, Anne Ferguson, who passed away on November 25. Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo of him taking his first steps with her nearby.
As Ferguson wrote, “You only get one mom and I’m glad she was mine. My arms will always be open for you. RIP Mom”
