Golden Bachelor producers are apparently searching for their next leading man. News broke that the franchise is hastily searching for their next main man. Many are already questioning why the franchise is choosing to look for applicants instead of using one of the amazing men from Joan Vassos’ season of The Golden Bachelorette. What is going on? Producers Are Searching For Season 2 Golden Bachelor
The hunt is on to find the next Golden Bachelor. It seems the show has decided to not use someone from Joan Vassos’ season of The Golden Bachelorette. Many fans originally thought Mark Anderson would get the leading role. However, he is now in a relationship with One Tree Hill’s Barbara Alyn Woods.
Then, fans thought perhaps Jonathan Rone would be given the opportunity. He too found someone after The Golden Bachelorette. However, he recently shared that they parted ways. At this moment, nobody knows why Jonathan was not selected or if he even wanted to do it.
There were other men that appeared to want the gig as well such as runner-up Guy Gansert. He actually just landed a guest role on General Hospital.
So, while nobody knows exactly why they are looking for someone new, they are and they need applicants quickly.
Casting crew members reportedly contacted Bachelor blogger Zachary Reality to get the word out that they want to find their new leading man to be The Golden Bachelor.
On TikTok, Zachary Reality shared that they reached out to him and said they are looking for a fresh face for the franchise. They want someone new and they want someone fast. There are allegedly only two weeks left to get those applications and nominations in.
Zachary also shared that they are not looking for ladies at the moment. They already have a great selection of single women ready to go on this journey. So, if you know any single, smart, charming older men, get them to apply asap!
Filming will reportedly begin somewhere around July. There has been no mention of exactly when the show will air on ABC.
Season 1 Of The Golden Bachelor
Of course, fans will recall that Gerry Turner was America’s first Golden Bachelor. He found love with Theresa Nist and the two even wed on live television. However, sadly, things did not work out between them. They filed for divorce just three months after getting married.
Gerry recently revealed that he has an incurable cancer. Fortunately, it seems it’s slow growing and he should be able to live a fairly normal life still.
Gerry’s season was a big hit and success. Bachelor Nation loved the feel of older couples looking for a second chance at love. Some great personalities were introduced on Turner’s season including Leslie Fhima and Susan Noles.
