All of you thirsty people can finally get that drink with Movie Games Lunarium’s Lust From Beyond, which after a couple of delays, has finally been released on Steam. Inspired by Lovecraft (obviously) and works by H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński, the described “esoteric” horror game has a launch trailer to go along with its release. According to the accompanied press release, Lust From Beyond is the 38th most wishlisted title on Steam (globally) prior to its release, and was also the 2nd most popular upcoming game on Steam. Not bad for a title that you probably shouldn’t show your parents. In…

Like any long-awaited follow-up to a beloved comedy, Coming 2 America boasts a fair number of appearances by some of the original film’s funniest fan-favorite characters, many of them played, once again, by Eddie Murphy. However, more glaringly recognizable is the absence of actors such as Samuel L. Jackson and several others from 1988’s Coming to America cast.Director Craig Brewer’s Amazon Prime original sequel introduces a slew of new characters, such as the long lost son of Eddie Murphy’s King Akeem Joffer (played by Jermaine Fowler), his boisterous mother (Leslie Jones) and uncle (Tracy Morgan), and a heavily made-up Arsenio…

Zombies are everywhere, and they’ve been everywhere for a while now. From Romero’s 1968 classic Night of the Living Dead to Zack Snyder’s upcoming Army of the Dead, it’s actually quite fitting that these bloodthirsty revenants have endured in fiction after all this time. Of course, after having been spoiled by quality zombie media like The Last of Us and Train to Busan over the years, it’s easy to take the undead for granted. Believe it or not, there was once a time when it seemed like their scare-factor had run its course and it was hard to take zombies…
Books and dragons: they just go together. For one thing, many of us were first drawn into the world of books through fairytales or fantasy stories with dragons lurking at the edges of the pages. They symbolize an epic story, one completely unlike our world, where fire can rain down on you if you displease the wrong creature. Dragons mean adventure, timeless stories, narratives with a sweeping scale! Also, readers are bookworms, wyrms are dragons, and therefore a lot of people like to call themselves book dragons. If you, too, dream of being a dragon guarding your book hoard, you’ll…
Cardi B appears to be downplaying The Weeknd’s fury about being snubbed at the Grammys with a spotlight on other Black artists who are getting recognized … which is interesting. The rapper posted a lengthy statement Saturday about her thoughts on all the Grammys drama, and while she acknowledged she did think some albums and songs probably should’ve gotten nominated, she doesn’t seem nearly as miffed as others are. All she has to say on the matter of snubs is … “[M]aybe by next year they will get it right.” How I feel bout the Grammies .Don’t forget to congratulate…

As James Cameron’s Avatar once again became the highest-grossing film of all time worldwide today, a long-held Hollywood tradition of the previous record-holder paying homage continued. Marvel Studios, whose Avengers: Endgame was just eclipsed by Avatar, tweeted congratulations to Cameron, as well as producer Jon Landau and “all of the Na’vi Nation” for “reclaiming the box office crown.” In a reference to Endgame, the Marvel post said, “We love you 3000.” In turn, the official Avatar account re-tweeted the post with a heart emoji (see the mutual love below). With its rerelease in China this weekend, Cameron’s 2009 sci-fi pic…
Play video content MEGA/BACKGRID A-Rod confirms on video what TMZ broke this morning … that he and JLo are still hangin’ on. This video was shot outside A-Rod’s gym in Miami … where a photog asked him if he was single. A-Rod answered definitively in the negative. The conversation was interrupted by a phone call, which A-Rod took — but he told the caller he’d call back, “baby.” We don’t know if the person on the other end was JLo, but it seems like a good guess. Remember, A-Rod and JLo told TMZ Saturday morning … “We are working through…
Earlier today, police officer Wayne Couzens was charged with the kidnap and murder of Sarah Everard, a 33-year-old woman who went missing while walking home in south London on March 3. To pay tribute to Everard, Reclaim These Streets had organized a COVID-safe vigil to take place on Saturday in Clapham Common, close to where the kidnapping took place. However, after discussions with London’s Metropolitan Police broke down, the vigil was canceled. Instead, a doorstep vigil will take place across the United Kingdom, and people have visited the park throughout the day to leave flowers and pay their respects following…
