Camila Mendes Pairs a Sheer Corset Top With a Low-Rise

Camila Mendes showed some love for two buzzy fashion trends with her latest look. At a screening for her Netflix movie “Do Revenge” on Sept. 14, the actor wore a two-piece olive-green set featuring a corset top and low-rise skirt — both items numerous stars have worn on the red carpet as of late.

Hailing from Versace’s fall/winter 2022 collection — the same collection Hailey Bieber repped at a friend’s wedding in July — Mendes’s top layered an underwire bra over a backless, sleeved shirt with boned detailing. The sheer material allowed her ribcage tattoo to subtly peek through. Her accompanying low-rise maxi skirt hugged around the hips and cinched on both sides to create a draped effect.

Mendes worked with stylist Molly Dickson to put together the outfit, accessorizing with matching green opera gloves that blended right in to look like an extension of the top. She finished the look with pink and gold Versace Medusa pendant earrings, simple gold heels, and a gold chain-handle bag. While sharing photos of her outfit on Instagram, she quipped she was in “full Drea cosplay,” referencing her “Do Revenge” character’s onscreen style.

The “Riverdale” actor has proven to be quite fond of low-rise skirts, despite the silhouette’s divisive nature. Earlier this year, she attended Miu Miu’s Paris Fashion Week presentation in a belted denim miniskirt that slung low around her hips and was embellished with floral crystals.

Ahead, take an all-angles look at Mendes’s movie-premiere outfit, and be sure to watch “Do Revenge” when it hits Netflix on Sept. 16 to see the outfits her character wears.
