Leave it to Kim Kardashian to give ripped jeans a whole new meaning. It can be hard to make bathroom selfies look glamorous, but the Skims designer looked chic in hers. She also proved the continued relevance of heavily distressed jeans with this barely-there pair from Ludovic de Saint Sernin‘s spring/summer 2022 RTW collection. The jeans had lace-up detailing along the sides and where the pants zipper should have been. The black pockets were in full view on each side, and the distressed threads extended all the way down over her heels. She captioned the images “Talk less and say more.”
Kardashian’s latest look is a complete style-180 from the covered-up Balenciaga looks she’s been seen in over the past few months, including the bright-blue spandex Balenciaga gown with silver sunglasses she wore at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty. Her ripped jeans are reminiscent of the early 2000s, especially when paired with her strapless, asymmetrical purple-ombré alligator tube top by fashion favorite label No Sesso. She finished her look off with a pair of beige pointed-toe heels and pulled her hair back into a sleek ponytail.
Kardashian recently released the Skims Icons campaign, featuring iconic supermodels Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel.
