Meghan Markle is returning to her roots!
Amid her and Prince Harry’s feud with the royal family, it now appears the Suits alum has a new project coming very soon, and it could result in a ton more press! ‘Cause a tell-all and Netflix series apparently weren’t enough!
According to sources for the Mirror on Saturday, the 41-year-old has received preliminary approval to relaunch her lifestyle website The Tig! If you don’t recall, the actress started the blog in 2014 while she was working on the legal drama. The “passion project” quickly evolved into a fully-fledged business, in which she gave tips on fashion, health, travel, and even interviewed celebrity friends like Serena Williams and Priyanka Chopra.

During an episode of Harry & Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex recalled:
“I’ve never really been the type of person to do only one thing, I guess that’s how my website was born. There was fashion, tons of food, and travel — all the things that I loved. The Tig wasn’t just a hobby, it became a really successful business.”
The website was named after her favorite type of wine, Tignanello, but was shut down in 2017 when her engagement to King Charles III‘s youngest son caused too much “media scrutiny.” But now that she’s not a working royal anymore, it seems to be the perfect time to restart the site! And it could go live as early as NEXT week!!!

It sounds like the premise of the online community will be pretty much the same, with one little twist! According to the Mirror, details from the US Patent and Trademark Office show Meghan might also decide to dish out “commentary in the field of personal relationships.” Whoa, whoa, whoa. Does this mean there’s about to be an “Ask Meghan” column?! OMG! We just know readers are going to have a field day with that!
Insiders also believe the blog could rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s successful lifestyle brand Goop, which is estimated to be worth more than $243 million! Holy s**t! No wonder Meg wants to get back into the blogging world! Also, Goop is famous for pretty unconventional products, like a vagina-scented candle. Sources say the former Deal or No Deal suitcase girl is hoping to directly rival Gwyneth’s company, so it seems like maybe she’ll get into products in the future, assuming things go well with the launch.
