Earlier this week, Rachel Zegler — who plays pretty much the main friggin’ character in the musical West Side Story, which is nominated for seven Oscars — revealed that she wasn’t even invited to the awards ceremony.

Well, it turns out she might end up appearing at the Oscars after all — and she could be presenting an award, too.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended an invite to Zegler to present an award at the festivities this Sunday.

One small problem, though: Zegler is currently in London shooting Disney’s live-action Snow White remake — so it sounds like they’ll have to shift some schedules to make the appearance happen.

Rachel mentioned the ongoing shoot in a series of tweets further addressing the Oscars kerfluffle on Sunday night.

“My goodness, folks!! Appreciate all the support, I really really do,” she wrote.

“We live in such unprecedented times, and a lot of work behind the scenes goes into making movie magic happen. That goes for film productions (like the one I am so lucky to be currently shooting in London) and awards shows alike.”

“Let’s all just respect the process and I’ll get off my phone.”

Looks like there’ll be a happy ending to this saga — but we’ll know for sure on Sunday night.
