Ya know… not every film title gets to the crux of its own plot. But, lucky for us Cocaine Bear cuts right to the quick of its insane, based on a true story plot. Because what you see is what you get here. The plot revolves around a bear who finds cocaine in the woods, gets high and decides to go on a rager.
We all owe Elizabeth Banks a heaping amount of gratitude for getting such a crazy movie off of the ground. The actress made her directorial debut with Cocaine Bear and we can’t wait to see it.
The synopsis for Cocaine Bear goes like this:
Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner’s plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500- pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood.
