‘Bruce Campbell as Elvis Presley. Ossie Davis as President Kennedy. Yep, these are the only reasons you need to watch Bubba Ho-Tep. But then Phantasm director, Don Coscarelli directs a story of Bruce Campbell playing a retired Elvis while also trying to fight off the ancient forces of a soul-sucking Mummy. Did I mention that said Mummy sucks elderly folks’ souls through their buttholes? Yea. Everyone needs to own this movie.

The synopsis for Bubba Ho-Tep goes like this:

When mysterious deaths plague a Texas retirement home, it’s up to its most sequined senior citizen to take on a 4,000-year-old Egyptian mummy with a penchant for cowboy boots, bathroom graffiti and sucking the souls from the barely living.

Bubba Ho-Tep stars Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness, Ash vs. Evil Dead) as “Elvis”, the late, great Ossie Davis (Grumpy Old Men, Do The Right Thing) as John “Jack” Kennedy, Ella Joyce (Set It Off, Stop!
