At the heart of “Rebel Moon” is Kora, portrayed by Sofia Boutella, a character who embodies defiance against tyranny. A former leader within the Imperium, Kora turns against the oppressive forces of Mother World. Her mission is to unite a disparate group of warriors, each driven by their own motives of redemption and revenge, to stand against a formidable enemy.

Zack Snyder, a filmmaker renowned for his work on “300,” “Man of Steel,” and “Army of the Dead,” brings his unique vision to “Rebel Moon.” The film, originally conceptualized as a Star Wars pitch, is a testament to Snyder’s lifelong passion for sci-fi and adventure. In his words, as told to The Hollywood Reporter, “This is me growing up as an Akira Kurosawa fan, a Star Wars fan. It’s my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure.
