A new Polish thriller just broke into the Netflix charts. It is about a woman beating ass and taking no names. The internet is losing it for Mother’s Day (Original title: Dzien Matki).
Synopsis
“When the son she’s never known gets kidnapped, former special agent Nina dusts off her deadly skills to bring him home — no matter who gets in her way.”

Directed by Mateusz Rakowicz. It is written by Lukasz M. Maciejewski and Mateusz Rakowicz. The movie stars Agnieszka Grochowska, Adrian Delikta, and Dariusz Chojnacki.
Most Netflix viewers are fangirling over Agnieszka Grochowska as a woman kicking a lot of ass on a quest for revenge. Many fans are saying it’s better than the Jennifer Lopez movie, Mother, which also dropped on the streamer this month.

I'll put it like this….#Netflix has 2 films out right now that are similar in nature BUT there's a difference. #Jlo's film #TheMother is bad. #AgnieszkaGrochowska's film #MothersDay is badass! Fast paced, gritty, brutal.
Loved it!😁👍 Rating ⭐⭐⭐1/2. pic.twitter.com/gIAkJ9FWZp— Media_Giant! (@Wrestle_notes66) May 26, 2023
#MothersDay (Netflix Movie) got one of the best composed action sequences in the recent times.

We love thrillers about women who are not afraid to throw hands. It is one of our favorite subgenres. We also celebrate every time an international movie breaks into the stream charts. So, this feels good for all the reasons.
Hopefully, Agnieszka Grochowska is feeling all of the love and has plans to give us more of this revenge thriller energy that has us all fired up. Who knows? Maybe this is the start of another fast and furious franchise?
