Having made its debut in theaters in September, the film quickly garnered attention, crossing the $100 million mark at the worldwide box office. Set against the backdrop of post-World War II Venice on Halloween night, the story follows the iconic detective Hercule Poirot, played by Branagh. The evening takes a mysterious turn when Poirot attends a séance at a haunted palazzo, only to be thrust into an investigation following a murder.

The ensemble cast of ‘A Haunting in Venice’, which includes Branagh, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Kelly Reilly, and Jamie Dornan, has garnered widespread acclaim for its performances. Todd Gilchrist, a respected film critic for Variety, offered particular praise for Branagh’s multifaceted involvement in the film. He remarked, “Branagh, once again pulling double duty as the film’s star and director, anchors this (possibly) supernatural digression from the shoe-leather sleuthing of earlier Hercule Poirot stories with appropriate theatricality. Playful turns from a shrewdly selected supporting cast elevate the case from just another murder mystery to suitably arch gothic horror.”

For those looking to indulge in a spooky movie night at home, “A Haunting in Venice” will be a prime choice. Apart from its availability on Hulu as part of their Huluween celebration, the film can also be purchased from digital retailers, including Prime Video and Apple TV. Additionally, a Blu-ray and DVD release is scheduled for November 28.
