Hollywood mourns the loss of a beloved star as Lisa Loring, best remembered for bringing Wednesday Addams to life in the iconic series “The Addams Family,” has passed away at the age of 64.

Her daughter Vanessa Foumberg, confirmed the sad news in a statement to Variety, revealing that Loring tragically succumbed to a stroke on Saturday.

Fans and colleagues alike are grieving the loss of this talented actress who brought joy and laughter to the small screen with her timeless portrayal of Wednesday.

Lisa Loring will forever be remembered as a cherished member of the Addams Family and a beloved member of the entertainment industry.

“She went peacefully with both her daughters holding her hands,” Foumberg said.

Laurie Jacobson, Loring’s friend, also reported her death on Facebook, saying she had “suffered a massive stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure.”

“She had been on life support for 3 days. Yesterday, her family made the difficult decision to remove it and she passed last night,” Jacobson wrote. “She is embedded in the tapestry that is pop culture and in our hearts always as Wednesday Addams.”

Loring made her mark in Hollywood history as the blueprint for the iconic, pale and pigtailed Wednesday, a character based on Charles Addams’ New Yorker cartoons, which she brought to life at the young age of six. Her deadpan delivery of the death-obsessed character captivated audiences for two years until the show ended its run.

In 1977, Loring reprised her role as Wednesday Sr. in the television film “Halloween with the New Addams Family.”

Her portrayal of Wednesday paved the way for other actresses, including Christina Ricci, who starred as Wednesday in the 1991 hit movie “The Addams Family” and its sequel “Addams Family Values.”

Lisa Loring’s legacy will live on as the actress who made Wednesday Addams a cultural icon and a beloved member of the Addams Family. Rest in peace, dear Lisa. You will be missed.
