Kel Mitchell: Good Burger 2 Could Feature ‘A Whole New

During an interview with ComingSoon, Good Burger star Kel Mitchell opened up about what he thinks could happen in a sequel to the beloved cult comedy classic.

When asked about where he thinks Ed, the film’s protagonist, would be at this point in time, Mitchell described a potential premise for the Good Burger sequel:

“I definitely think Ed would be running the place at this point. So, how chaotic or funny that would be with him running Good Burger and managing it,” Mitchell said. “I think them looking for [and] seeing these new employees that are there now, with a whole new generation, I think would be really dope too. Having that and them having new adventures throughout that, trying to show these other workers how to get through and them learning them and navigating their stories within it.”

Mitchell then discussed the possibility of musical acts and guests, highlighting the memorable guests of Good Burger, which even featured Shaquille O’Neal.

“I think that would be really, really fun. And then having some of these acts that I just talked about earlier, musical acts be in the movie because we had so many good special guests in the first one. I think it would be cool to do that in part two as well.”

Though there’s little in the way of official news about a sequel to the Nickelodeon film, it seems clear that Mitchell is open to returning for another entry.

“When Mondo Burger sets up across the street, sneaky Dexter and burger-obsessed Ed realize they need to fight to keep their fast food joint going,” reads the official synopsis for Good Burger. “Their new secret sauce might be the answer, but not if Mondo can grab it.”
