During their Head in the Clouds Forever event at Coachella’s opening weekend, the 88rising collective unveiled one massive surprise—a reunion from the pioneering and beloved K-pop girl group 2NE1. 2NE1—the group comprising Bom, CL, Dara, and Minzy—disbanded in 2016. The group’s 2011 single “I Am the Best” became an international sensation, ultimately getting placement in a U.S. Microsoft ad, and 2NE1 also performed at the 2018 Winter Olympics’ closing ceremony. The group’s final album was 2014’s Crush, and a final single, “Goodbye,” came out in 2017.
