Angel Olsen has released the third single from her forthcoming album Big Time. After “All the Good Times” and the title song, the singer-songwriter has shared “Through the Fires.” It comes with a lyric video shot by Angela Ricciardi. Watch below.
Olsen explained in a statement: “‘Through the Fires’ is the centerpiece statement of this record. It’s a song I wrote to remind myself that this life is temporary, the past is not something to dwell on, that it’s important to keep moving, keep searching for the people that are also searching, and to notice the moments that are lighter and bigger than whatever trouble I’ve encountered.”
Olsen recorded “Through the Fires” with bassist Emily Elhaj, drummer and percussionist Jonathan Wilson, vibraphonist Grant Milliken, guitarist Jake Blanton, pianist and organist Drew Erickson, violinists Andrew Bullbrook and Wynton Grant, and violist Zach Dellinger.
