Listen to the National’s New Song “Somebody Desperate”

The new musical film Cyrano features a score from the National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner. For the end credits, they get the whole band together for a new song called “Somebody Desperate.” Check it out below. 

Director Joe Wright adapted the Cyrano de Bergerac film from a stage musical written by star Peter Dinklage’s wife, Erica Schmidt. Last week, Dinklage joined the Dessners to perform “Your Name” from the score on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The brothers recently picked up 2022 Grammy nominations for Album of the Year for their work on Taylor Swift’s Evermore.
