Ozzy Osbourne has canceled upcoming European tour dates, suggesting that he’s done touring for good. In a lengthy statement, he explained that his spine injury from four years ago makes the necessary travel for touring too painful.

“My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak,” Osbourne wrote. “I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required.”

Later in his statement, the iconic Black Sabbath singer suggested that he may have to permanently adjust how he tours moving forward, if at all. “Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way,” wrote Osbourne. “My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”

In 2019, Osbourne was hospitalized due to complications from the flu. He later fell inside his home and re-injured his back, neck, and shoulders that same year. The accident caused metal rods in his body to dislodge and required neck surgery. In 2020, Osbourne revealed he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 2003 but had kept it a secret.
