As promised, Phoebe Bridgers has shared a new song. “Sidelines” appears in Hulu’s adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel Conversations With Friends. A snippet of the song initially featured in the show’s trailer. Bridgers made “Sidelines” with Marshall Vore and Ruby Rain Henley. Check out the full new song below.
“Sidelines” is the first new original material from Bridgers since her 2020 record Punisher. Later that year, she reworked several of the album’s tracks on the Copycat Killer EP. Bridgers recently shared an acoustic version of Punisher’s “Chinese Satellite” for Secretly Canadian’s 25th anniversary. This weekend, Bridgers will perform at Coachella. She will then tour North America and Europe through the end of August.
