Pianist and Composer Lisa Swerdlow’s Single, “A Rhapsody Lives in You”, Nominated for Best New Age Contemporary Instrumental Song

A Beautifully Romantic and Uplifting Piano Piece Inspired by Love and Life’s Journey, Available Now on All Major Music Platforms.

Grass Valley, CA —May 19th, 2023 – Lisa Swerdlow’s 2022 single , “A Rhapsody Lives in You” is a tribute to her wife of nearly 27 years, who is currently dealing with a rare sarcoma. Through the illness, Swerdlow heard and felt her wife’s laughter and life force energy as music, inspiring her to create this new piece.

“A Rhapsody Lives in You” is a beautiful and full-of-love piano single that reflects the ecstatic expression of feeling and enthusiasm. It’s a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, color, and tonality.

Swerdlow’s latest single comes after a series of successful releases, including Lasting Impressions, Voyager, and several singles: “Dawn Contemplation,” “Carousel of Life,” “Still Here,” and “All Is Not Lost.” Her latest EP project, the fully-orchestrated Coming to America Concerto, released in September 2021, is an homage to her grandparents, who immigrated from Russia to America in the early 1900s.

Aside from her music, Swerdlow’s background includes performing in coffee houses on Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles and playing piano in a rock ‘n’ roll band in San Francisco. Her unique composing style draws influences from a range of genres, including classical crossover, neo-classical, and new age music.

“I was inspired to compose this piece by my wife Lucie, whose ‘Rhapsody’ comes through her in her life force, and it does for all of us,” said Swerdlow.

Listeners can stream and download “A Rhapsody Lives in You” on Lisa Swerdlow’s website and on major music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon. Swerdlow encourages fans to follow her on social media, as well as listen to her other works and upcoming projects.
