“My Impala” is the latest release from the nostalgic band THE AMERICAN RELICS, out on Tribeca Records and gaining more popularity every day. I look at the song as days gone by and times that were simple and fun. The song is also fun but not simple as the harmonies and musicianship excels.
Band mastermind and frontman John Gitano sings and plays guitar in an exciting and professional way. He writes most of the tunes for the band and his influences are rooted in the decades past. However, his catalogue is still relevant to today and fits in with the vibe of present music. Adrienne Dugger (a world-renowned opera singer) chimes in with her special harmonies and effects to make the song something even more special. Both with a long -ime career, they do not allow their past to steal their present.
Others in the band include Ian Zane, Nelson Montana, Josh Salant, and Joni Ernst. Each member is a seasoned musician and superstars in their own crafts. Their newest member is guitarist Neal Lazar, also a seasoned guitarist.
“My Impala” brings yesterday into the present. It’s fun, it’s spirited, it’s entertaining and can be streamed on all digital platforms throughout the world.
