Seeing this as a potential business venture, he ropes Larry into his scheme. Hugh informs Louisa that he has told Vasilia it is over between them and begs Louisa to come to supper. Theo declines Louisa’s offer of tutoring Gerry saying he would rather be his friend. Admitting she is letting all her children down Louisa delights in arranging areading evening for Larry.
