    Jimmy Goings Releases New Single

Jimmy Goings, the legendary singer who first gained fame as the frontman of disco band Santa Esmeralda, has released his new track “World At War” as a lead single off of his upcoming debut solo release Late Check In. The song, composed in 1980, is as relevant today as it was back then, delivering a message that is all the more urgent in light of current world events. “World At War” is a call to action, a wake-up call to society to take responsibility for the future of our planet.

The song’s lyrics paint a bleak picture of the world, with war, famine, and destruction as a constant backdrop to human existence. Goings’ soulful voice weaves through the song’s intense guitar riffs and driving rhythm section as his prose hammers home an inevitability that will remain unchanged if we as a society refuse to confront it.

Comparisons to Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters and his work on The Wall are inevitable, as both artists share a penchant for socially-conscious songwriting and a willingness to tackle big issues. However, where Waters often delves into abstract concepts and metaphors, Goings’ lyrics are more direct and to the point. This is not to say that the song lacks depth, quite the opposite – Goings’ words hit hard and stay with you long after the song has ended. Musically, “World At War” draws comparisons to slightly more esoteric acts such as Dio and Iron Maiden, with its heavy metal-infused sound and powerful vocals.

The song’s chorus, with its soaring harmonies and catchy melody, is sure to get stuck in your head for days. It’s a testament to Goings’ songwriting skills that he’s able to take a heavy topic and turn it into a memorable, radio-friendly track that still manages to pack a punch. In a world where vapid pop music dominates the airwaves and TikTok dances reign supreme, “World At War” is a breath of fresh air. It’s a song that actually has something to say, and it’s delivered with passion and conviction.

Goings’ years of experience as a performer shine through in every note, and it’s clear that he’s still got plenty to offer the music industry. Altogether, “World At War” is a fantastic lead single for Late Check In, and it’s sure to get fans excited for the full album release. With its powerful message, memorable hooks, and killer guitar solos, it’s a track that will appeal to a wide range of listeners.

Whether you’re a fan of heavy metal, classic rock, or socially-conscious songwriting, there’s something for everyone here. Jimmy Goings has delivered a masterful piece of music with “World At War.” It’s a song that demands your attention and leaves a lasting impression. While it’s easy to get caught up in the flashy, disposable pop music of today, it’s artists like Goings who remind us that music can still be a force for change. Late Check In is shaping up to be an album worth waiting for, and if “World At War” is any indication, it’s going to be a standout release in 2023.
