However, James was not supportive, and he broke his sobriety. Ally could tell that he was drunk. However, James kept denying it. The two argued the entire way home. However, they were arguing outside when they got home. Someone saw this and called the cops because they were worried for Ally’s safety. The cops came, confirmed James was drunk, and arrested him. This was hard for Ally. However, James was released on bond the next day.

She was basically like ‘Ally he needs you. You’re really good together.’ [interviewer: she was basically asking you to stay with him?] Yeah… yeah. She was like ‘You should go travel with him to his shows this weekend’ and I was like ‘First of all, what shows? He’s cancelled right now.
Fans know that Lisa feels as though she needs to be a mother figure for James. However, viewers are mad that she tried to convince Ally to stay in an abusive relationship.
It seems as though Lisa wanted Ally to stay with James. She thought Ally was good for him, which she was. However, James has a problem that only he can fix.
