The Masked Singer fans have been excited about the big finale tonight and are also wondering when the show will be back. Well, the news is out, and it is pretty disappointing. Has the hit show been canceled, or what is actually going on? We have the latest news about what is going on with this amazing show after the big finale tonight.
The Masked Singer Changing Things Up
It turns out that TV Line shared that The Masked Singer is changing things up after tonight’s finale. Instead of airing the show in the spring and in the fall, they are just going to air it once a year. This is a big change and upsets a lot of fans. This is the first time they have done this since the show premiered in 2019. A Fox spokesperson spoke out, and this is what they said:
“This juggernaut will return next year for Season 14 as it takes midseason by storm with a spectacular, super-charged new season. Debuting the new season in January is a strategic move to give ample runway for America’s favorite guessing game, and allow us to creatively look at enhancing the show with the biggest names at the center of it.”
What Will This Change?
Well, one thing that this will change is it sounds like they will be able to get bigger names for the show. This could end up with some huge actresses, singers and other celebrities joining the show.
It also means that the show won’t be on at all again in 2025. The Masked Singer will actually return in 2026 on Fox. Fans are going to have to wait over six months to see a new season of the show. It will probably film sometime in the fall. Will all of the judges come back? Well, fans will just have to wait and see if they are able to or how it works out with taking this big break.
