Mads Mikkelsen has found his next project, and it’s going to be an icy time at the theater. No stranger to action films, Mikkelsen will return to the genre in an upcoming project that sounds perfect for the Danish actor.
Lee Smith, the Academy Award-winning editor behind Dunkirk, makes his directorial debut in Sirius, an upcoming action film that will have Mikkelsen in the lead role. The film is described as “a gripping Arctic action-thriller inspired by the real-life Sirius Patrol, the Danish special forces unit charged with defending Greenland’s 8,700-mile frozen coastline.” Neon International will be shopping the foreign distribution rights for Sirius at the Cannes Film Festival.
More to come.
