Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 6-16-25: A New Era Begins After John’s Funeral

    Life goes on.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 6-16-25 promise a strong start to Salem’s newest era.

Bo and Hope are leaving town, the high school kids are graduating, and everyone is trying to put their lives back together as best as they can despite their grief — and that’s exactly what this soap should be doing!

The Teens’ Graduation Comes At The Perfect Time

There’s something poetic about Salem’s next generation graduating from high school a week after everyone paid their last respects to John Black.

There’s no better way to move forward than to suggest that big changes are on the horizon for those who are on the cusp of adulthood.

I love those kinds of stories, as long as they’re realistic, which is never a guarantee with Days of Our Lives.

The teens are anxious about the future, especially Holly and Tate, and why wouldn’t they be?

Tate’s accidental fatherhood is just around the corner, and it’s still not clear whether he and Sophia are going to keep the baby in the end.

Holly throws another monkey wrench into this, too, when she tells Tate she might go to school in Europe.

It makes sense for her, since her parents are in Paris.

Tate was probably hoping they’d reconcile eventually, but if he’s in Salem and she’s overseas, that’s not likely.

This is the mundane type of conflict that soaps need more of.

Graduation is always tough for kids because they don’t really know what the future holds.

It’s overwhelming and scary to realize you’re about to be on your own after 17 to 18 years of living under your parents’ roofs, and not all young people have a secure foundation to build off of as they enter adulthood for the first time.

For Tate And Sophia, High School Graduation Is Anything But Normal

Holly and Tate look at each other while Sophia stands behind them, smiling, all in caps and gowns.

Tate will likely be thrilled that his best friend, Aaron, will be back in time for graduation, but someone else might make an appearance, too.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 6-16-25 have Sophia going into labor while in her cap and gown — or at least, she thinks she is.

Salem is full of women who have two or three false alarms before actually giving birth.

In this case, though, there might be a reason for this to be real, besides it completely disrupting the ceremony and making Holly feel like she’s being back-burnered yet again.

There have been persistent rumors that the baby is Aaron’s rather than Tate’s since this storyline began.

I hope they don’t go that route. It annoys me when it appears that two people didn’t sleep together, and then something happened off-screen.

Plus, Aaron’s return just as Sophia gives birth is awfully convenient.

The rumor mill gets things wrong as often as it gets them right, especially when it comes to seemingly far-fetched ideas, but there could be something to this one.

Of course, that would be a little bit too easy an end for this story. Tate would be free to be with Holly… except for Doug III, of course.

The only spoiler mentioning that guy states that he’s going to ask Leo for help.

I don’t know why that’s a spoiler. It’s happened three or four times already, so it’s pretty much “business as usual” at this point.

Philip awakens in time to stop Xander on Days of Our Lives during the week of 6-16-25.

Philip Awakens, But Doesn’t Do What Kate Hoped

The Philip teasers are the most predictable Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 6-16-25.

I figured he’d keep it to himself that Xander was responsible for nearly killing him twice by the time Philip awakens, since he’s going to regain consciousness before Xander can smother him with a pillow.

It may seem stupid to cover for a guy who keeps trying to kill you, and objectively that’s true — it’s not in Philip’s best interest.

But I know that the emotional pull to make sure your abuser doesn’t abandon you is often far stronger than all logic, and that’s probably what’s happening here.

Philip has been desperate for Xander’s love and friendship since this mess began.

That’s why he tried to steal the sepsis drug in the first place.

Belle is skeptical of Philip's claims about Xander on Days of Our Lives during the week of 6-16-25
    (Screenshot/Peacock)

He thought he’d secure the hospital deal, be the hero who saved Bo… and get back into Xander’s good graces.

Belle isn’t buying it, at least from the spoiler video, but that doesn’t mean Philip’s resolve to put his relationship with Xander ahead of his safety will be shaken one bit.

I wonder what this means for the antagonism between Xander and Sarah.

Xander can now point to this lie as proof that he did not, in fact, hurt Philip.

He can gaslight Sarah further into thinking she’s the bad one because she “falsely accused” him.

Steve Celebrates 40 Years In Salem

The tragedy of losing Drake Hogestyn is compounded by the happy Steve spoilers this week.

Stephen Nichols has been on Days of Our Lives for 40 years, so Steve will reminisce with his friends and family on Monday.

Bo and Hope are leaving this week, but not yet.

They’ll be around for Steve’s celebration — most likely that retirement dinner Stephanie is planning — and as great as that is, it’ll make it clear that someone is missing from this party.

That’s life. Grief mixed with joy.

But at least Steve will get to have his special moment with Bo by his side.

He’s not the only one to take a trip down memory lane. There will be more Tom and Alice flashbacks, this time revealing something pivotal about them.

I hope that they use the same actors. They were great last time!

Since we have so many Days of Our Lives veterans here right now, though, I wouldn’t be surprised if Jennifer or Hope plays a young Alice and their husband a young Tom.

Yes, Bo and Hope Are Leaving… For Now

Bo had asked to work with Steve at Black Patch, but that obviously isn’t happening right now.

Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso were not supposed to be back permanently, but I hate that they’re leaving already!

Still, the door may be open for them to return. Peter Reckell has said on social media that he’d love to come back if asked.

Maybe this Steve story will plant seeds for a real return later. For now, I’m grateful these two came back for a little bit, even if it was for the saddest story Days of Our Lives has had in years.
