Jelly Roll’s Wife, Bunnie Xo, Talks ‘Open Marriage’ For Last Time

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo’s marriage has been a topic of conversation for fans over the years. In particular, fans often talk about the way Bunnie described their relationship in a viral clip online. Taking to her podcast series, Bunnie herself recently addressed the discussion, saying it’s the last time she wants to explain it.

Jelly Roll & Bunnie Xo Were Married In 2016 After Meeting At One Of His Shows

As a performer, Jelly Roll’s career significantly took off in the 2022, which his singles, “Son of a Sinner” and “Need a Favor.” In recent years, he’s become something of a television personality, notably serving as an “artist in residence” on Season 23 of American Idol, helping to mentor the contestants.

Jelly Roll met his wife Bunnie Xo in 2015 at one of his concerts. When she learned he was travelling to Las Vegas, she offered him a place to stay, serving the start of their relationship. The two were then married in 2016.

Bunnie is also known for hosting the “Dumb Blonde” podcast. Recently, Bunnie discussed her marriage on her recent podcast series. In particular, she wanted to discuss a clip from “six years ago” that she feels has been taken out of context.

Bunnie shared, “There was a clip that went around that said ‘If I want to sleep with other men, I can.’ And people have just ran with this clip for years.”

According to Bunnie, she wasn’t necessarily talking about her and Jelly Roll having an “open marriage.” Instead, she simply meant that she and her husband don’t try to control each other.

Bunnie explained, “We don’t want to tell each other what we can and can’t do. We have free will. That’s a huge difference between having an open relationship.”

Bunnie claimed that this was a misconception that she’s had to address quite often over the years. However, she shared that she wants this to be the last time she discusses the issue.

Fans Also Discussed The Conversation In The Comments, Complete With At Least One Response From Bunnie Herself

Many fans discussed the issue in the comments. As one fan interpreted Bunnie’s explanation, “Basically you shouldn’t need to control your S/O so that they would choose you.” Bunnie herself responded to this in the comments, noting, “Yes, you get it.”

A few fans felt it was ridiculous that Bunnie has to constantly explain her marriage to fans. As one commenter wrote, “It’s ridiculous that you have to keep explaining your relationship. It’s YOURS.”

Taking to the comments, many other fans weighed in on the story. Many agreed with Bunnie’s comments. Others repeated the idea that it wasn’t their business at the end of the day. Some comments included:

    • “I feel like we’ve addressed this numerous times already.”
    • “Even if you was in an open relationship, it’s [none] of our damn business.”
    • “I love the way u broke it down hopefully those ppl will finally have an open mind and open their ears the way they talk about your ‘open’ marriage.”
    • “Interesting how she says IF she wanted to… & they rolled with that…. does not mean she ever did. & if so, that’s nobody’s business. People are so weird with their parasocial relationships with celebrities.”
    • “You guys have a loving respectful relationship and people just don’t understand.”
