Craig Finn and Patterson Hood Announce 2026 Co-Headlining Tour

The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn and Drive-By Truckers’ Patterson Hood are hitting the road this summer for a co-headlining tour. The run of shows, titled “Devils in the Details,” will take place in July.

The tour kicks off July 9th in St. Paul, Minnesota, with dates that follow across the East Coast, including a stop in Brooklyn on July 12th. Other cities include Hamden, Connecticut, and Rockport, Massachusetts, with a final date in Bellmore, New York on July 21st.

The collaborative endeavor was announced on Finn’s Instagram, where the musician shared a message preparing attendees for what’s to come.

“I’ve been friends with Patterson Hood for almost twenty years now, and we’ve done a lot of cool things together,” Finn wrote. “But possibly my favorite adventure with Patterson was the ‘Devils in the Details’ tour that we did from Seattle to Texas in November 2025. This tour featured us trading songs, onstage together at the same time, and accompanied by amazing multi-instrumentalist Ben Hackett. The shows were loose, fun, musical, and truly special.”

“Now, I’m very excited to announce that we’re doing it all again in July 2026 in the Twin Cities and on the East Coast,” Finn continued. “These are guaranteed to be a great time, and I’m so excited to be playing in this format again. I might even bust out some new songs for the occasion. These will make for sublime summer evenings, and I hope you’ll join us.”

The Hold Steady’s last album, The Price of Progress, was released in 2023, while Drive-By Truckers’ most recent project, Welcome 2 Club XIII, came in 2022.

Craig Finn released his sixth studio album, Always Been, in April 2025. He will be supporting the Mountain Goats on a tour of Europe and the UK this fall. Tickets are available now.
