Hulu’s lineup this week includes a long-lost Blake Lively comedy, Jujutsu Kaisen, and several other notable releases.
Hick, arriving on Hulu on July 10, is a dark coming-of-age drama. Chloë Grace Moretz plays Luli, a 13-year-old from Nebraska who flees her neglectful, alcoholic parents. Armed with a pistol and sketchbook, she heads for Las Vegas. Along the way, she encounters two drifters: Eddie, an unstable cowboy played by Eddie Redmayne who becomes dangerously fixated on her, and Glenda, a hardened hustler played by Blake Lively who pulls Luli into a life of petty crime. The journey turns deadly when Eddie kidnaps Luli.
Also streaming on July 10 is Jujutsu Kaisen: Complete Season 3, covering the Culling Game arc. With Satoru Gojo trapped, Kenjaku traps sorcerers in a lethal battle-royale barrier. The heroes fight to earn points, stay alive, and free Gojo.
For fantasy fans, Though I Am an Inept Villainess Season 1 releases on Hulu this week. Premiering on July 12, the story follows two rival imperial maidens who swap bodies by magic. Fragile Reirin finds herself in a dungeon with her rival’s strong body, while hotheaded Keigetsu takes Reirin’s prized place. To survive court intrigue, they must work together.
