Savannah Guthrie & Hoda Kotb Worked Alongside Each Other On Today For Nearly A Decade
Guthrie and Kotb famously worked together as co-anchors on the Today show for seven years. This started when Kotb was named Guthrie’s co-star in 2018.
However, Guthrie announced that she would be leaving the show in 2024, officially stepping away on January 10, 2025. Following this, she pursued another venture: the wellness company and platform, Joy 101. That said, Kotb would continue to make appearances on the show, even filling in for Guthrie earlier this year when she temporarily stepped away amid her mother Nancy’s disappearance.
Over the years, Guthrie and Kotb were known for having many memorable moments together. Even after her departure, it was Kotb who interviewed Guthrie during an interview concerning her mother’s disappearance.
Recently, fans got to see Guthrie and Kotb reunite. However, this wasn’t on the show, but on social media. Taking to Instagram, Kotb shared a photo of the two sitting alongside each other.

The post didn’t specify the exact setting, but for Kotb, it didn’t seem to matter. As she shared, “My favorite place… next to you,” complete with a heart emoji.
For the time being, Guthrie is taking a break from Today. While she found time to meet with Kotb, she has also been busy helping to film the upcoming Wordle television adaptation.
Many of the Today show hosts have been taking summer breaks and have recently been sharing moments of them meeting up with each other. As previously reported, Kotb and Dylan Dreyer recently met up to celebrate the Fourth of July together. For her part, Guthrie also recently met with Carson Daly, visiting on the set of The Voice.
Taking to the comments, fans were happy to see the two friends reunite. While many emphasized the importance of keeping your loved ones close, others shared words of support for Guthrie amid this time. Some comments included:
