HBO’s Lanterns Episode 6 jumped forward to 2026 and revealed Hal Jordan’s (Kyle Chandler) tragic fate after a 10-year time skip.
The episode showed that Hal served a decade-long prison sentence after taking the fall for Rushville’s destruction. He returned to the town, started a relationship with Sheriff Kerry (Kelly Macdonald), and died just hours after reuniting with John Stewart (Aaron Pierre).
Fans now debate who killed Hal, with several suspects emerging from the episode’s clues. One user predicted, “Noah killed Hal Jordan…football field, didn’t fight back, split up his family and his city…idk he has a good reason.”
Another user echoed the Noah theory, writing, “With Noah being so prominent and talking about purpose with John, he’s gotta be a secret Manhunter who couldn’t fight his programming and killed Hal.”
The episode strongly hinted that Sinestro (Ulrich Thomsen) could be responsible after Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion) revealed Sinestro escaped his prison on Oa.
