James Gunn has a major revelation about the DCU’s Batman suit. The Dark Knight will make his appearance in the highly anticipated The Brave and the Bold movie.
On Threads, Gunn recently shared a congratulatory message on Threads alongside an image of Scott Free and Big Barda. He welcomed Josh Hutcherson and Mackenzie Davis to the DC Universe. They have joined as the leading voice actors for Scott Free/Mister Miracle and Big Barda, respectively, in the Mister Miracle TV series.
One fan also asked Gunn about other DCU projects, particularly The Brave and the Bold. Among their other questions, they asked Gunn whether Batman’s suit’s texture will be similar to Superman’s. Gunn responded with the following update, “Batman’s suit isn’t designed yet.”
This means fans won’t be able to know what the caped crusader actually looks like unless his movie comes out. No other upcoming DCU appearance for Batman has been confirmed.
What comes next for the DCU after Clayface and Man of Tomorrow?
Clayface is the newest DCU release and hits theaters this week. It will be followed by next year’s Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow. Helmed by James Gunn, it will bring back David Corenswet in the titular role of Clark Kent/Superman. Nicholas Hoult, Rachel Brosnahan, and Isabela Merced will also return as Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, and Hawkgirl, respectively. The movie will arrive on July 9, 2027.
As for other future projects, DCU is expected to bring five key live-action movies. Besides The Brave and the Bold, fans may witness Deathstroke and Bane’s Savage Hunters, Teen Titans, and Swamp Thing, according to Deadline. A Wonder Woman reboot film is also expected to be in the works at the moment.
Various fan theories suggest that popular actress Adria Arjona could be DCU’s Wonder Woman. She is set to make her franchise debut with Man of Tomorrow. However, her character details haven’t been confirmed so far.
