Get ready to jam and scream “fuck you” to Nazis, because Jeremy Saulnier‘s punk horror film, Green Room, is returning to theaters this month for its 10th anniversary!
Hell. Yes.
Alamo Drafthouse has announced that the film will return to screens on October 30th. Not only that, but screenings will come with a themed menu and a free popcorn bucket celebrating Saulnier’s upcoming haunt horror, Slayground.
If you’re a popcorn bucket collector, the Slayground item is pretty damn cool and may be worth the ticket alone.
In addition, the ticketed event will feature an exclusive interview with Saulnier, cast members Alia Shawkat and Macon Blair, and SFX artist Mike Fontaine, playing before the film.

Released in 2016, Green Room follows a touring punk band whose gig at a remote club turns to terror after they witness a murder. Trapped backstage and surrounded by skinheads determined to silence witnesses, the band must fight for survival in a brutal siege.
Anton Yelchin (Burying the Ex), Imogen Poots (Black Christmas 2019), Alia Shawkat (The Final Girls), Joe Cole (The Damned), and Patrick Stewart (Star Trek) star.
If you still haven’t seen Green Room, it’s a banger. Visceral, tense, and punk AF, you don’t want to miss your chance to see it on the big screen.
“Jeremy Saulnier is one of the most exciting filmmakers working today, with a knack for turning ordinary situations into white-knuckle occasions,” says Jake Isgar, Film Programmer at Alamo Drafthouse. “His movies are visceral, relentless, and packed with the kind of tension that hits even harder on the big screen. We’re thrilled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Green Room with a special screening, an exclusive giveaway, and a menu of punk-inspired bites and cocktails. Just remember to unclench your jaw before the credits roll.”
Here’s what’s on the themed menu:
- COWCATCHER LOADED MAC: Cavatappi pasta tossed in housemade Tillamook cheddar cheese sauce with seasoned ground beef, bacon, roasted peppers, onions, and mushrooms, finished with sriracha sour cream and sliced green onions.
- AIN’T RIGHT PIZZA: A punk pizza with the sauce on top, featuring an herb-garlic oil base, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and Alamo’s signature cheese blend, topped with San Marzano tomato sauce and Parmesan, then finished with a drizzle of ranch dressing.
- METAL MARG: Campo Bravo Tequila Plata, Midori melon, pineapple, lime, and agave, served with a Tajín rim and cucumber.
Tickets for the Green Room 10th Anniversary event on October 30th are available at select Alamo Drafthouse locations nationwide. Visit drafthouse.com for participating theaters, showtimes, and tickets.
The Green Room anniversary screenings aren’t the last that will celebrate the work of Saulnier. Alamo Drafthouse will continue the celebration in early 2027 with a retrospective dedicated to Saulnier’s work, including Blue Ruin, Murder Party, and a reprise of Green Room on the big screen. Tickets for the retrospective will be available in December.
Those screenings come ahead of Saulnier’s Slayground, due to slice into cinemas on January 29th, 2027.
So, if you’re a fan of Saulnier, get ready to rock. The next few months are going to slay.
