The View has seen a rotation of conservative co-hosts, and some can hold their own while others struggle. This is not a place for the weak, as there are very strong personalities at the table, especially Joy Behar. Alyssa Farah Griffin has been a host since 2022, taking over for fellow conservative Meghan McCain, who feuded with Joy. Now, Alyssa has taken a dig at the Meghan/ Joy feud, but what did she have to say? Keep reading for all of the drama.
Joy Behar Slammed Meghan McCain Post-Baby
After Meghan McCain welcomed her first baby in 2020, she took maternity leave from her post on The View. This was a huge moment for the daughter of John McCain, given that she had suffered a miscarriage in 2019. While she should be relishing in postpartum bliss with her husband, Ben Domenech, she felt diminished by her co-host, Joy Behar. When Meghan McCain asked Joy if she missed her while she was away, her co-host quickly said:
“I did not. I did not miss you. Zero.”
That killed Meghan because she had so desperately wanted to be a mother, and this maternity leave meant her dream had come true. Then, Joy had to say something so cruel and hurtful. Meghan left the following year due to a toxic work environment. Joy is now on hiatus from The View due to an injury and allegedly has not texted back Alyssa Farah Griffin. While on Behind the Table,Alyssa shared that she knows Joy has texted other hosts. She then took a dig at the infamous feud between Joy and Meghan:
“I was like, ‘I miss you.’ Silence. I may have to ask her on air if she missed me.”
Fans picked up on what Alyssa was doing and encouraged her not to go there:
- “I’m gonna ask Joy on air of she missed me,” – ohh let’s not, Alyssa
Joy Misses Alyssa
The View EP Brian Teta reassured Alyssa Farah Griffin that Joy Behar does miss her. However, she likely does not have to text her for her to know this. Moreover, Brian made it clear that Joy is just fine; she is just recovering, and he is in constant communication with the comedian. Viewers seem to really like and appreciate Alyssa and what she brings to the show. They even had to chuckle at her Meghan shade:
